Java Forum Stuttgart 2026

On July 9, the Java Forum Stuttgart takes place at the Kultur- & Kongresszentrum Liederhalle. With around 1,800 attendees, the JFS brings together practical knowledge on Java and the JVM: from basics to product insights in seven parallel tracks. The accompanying exhibition invites networking with experts — supported by a job market and community partnerships.

Our colleagues Dr. Dennis Schulz and Elias Schecke are presenting the talk “Finally Understand Embeddings — And You Will Never Have to Search for the Right Emoji Again”. The focus is on how language is translated into high-dimensional vectors through embeddings — the foundation for the “understanding” of LLMs. Using an emoji search application, they demonstrate practically how such models make semantic search algorithms scalable and map even complex meanings precisely.
